Women at Work

This is so exciting...our first blog post! This is Kathy talking. Karen and I have been working on getting a support network going for quite some time and it's exciting to see this finally come to fruition. We have some great offerings coming down the pike, but this is our official kick off. For those of you who don't know us, I am the principal and owner of Migliore Consulting - a full service organization effectiveness and management consulting firm. My main focus is on leadership development and I have recently embraced women's leadership development as I've dealt head on with the struggles of being a woman, young, and starting a family to top it off. Karen and I met in graduate school 8 whole years ago. I'll let her introduce herself in a later post, but we've always talked about our careers and the issues we've faced all along the way. I'd say we're both extremely career driven. Though we wanted to become mothers, we have always known we didn't want to stop working. So finding a way to make it all work has been quite a challenge and it's been very helpful to have an ear to bend when we are having a tough time. We wanted to provide that to more women, knowing how hard it was to get support when we needed it. So here we are. Enjoy the blog - and please, be sure to comment and interact.
